The Opinel Pruning knife No10 is a fantastic addition to a gardener's tool kit!
The Opinel Pruning knife, also known as a Horticultural Billhook, has a 10cm curved blade bevelled on both sides, this is the perfect tool for harvesting, pruning shrubs or cutting ties. The blade is made with Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel, which is anti-corrosive and requires no special maintenance. Its high carbon content gives this knife an excellent cutting edge. The French Beech wood handle is hard, durable and easy to work. Opinel knives are characterised by their Virobloc Safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport). This knife is a handy sidekick for any green thumb!
