The Gerber Paraframe Tanto is a tactical version of the classic Paraframe. This pocket knife combines an open frame with a tanto-shaped blade. Both dressed in black. Because of the open frame the Paraframe Tanto weighs next to nothing and can easily be cleaned. A perfect EDC pocket knife.
The blade of the Gerber Paraframe Tanto is made from 7C317MoV steel. This type of steel has a black coating to protect it against rust. The edge is partially serrated and perfect when you need to open boxes or cut a piece of rope. The open handle on the Paraframe Tanto is made from stainless 3Cr13 steel and, like the blade, dressed completely in black.
You can easily open the knife with one hand by using the thumb studs on the blade. When opened the frame lock firmly keeps the blade in place. It might take a little practice but you can also close the blade using only one hand, even though this might be a little tricky at first. With the practical tip-down pocket clip you can attach the knife to your pocket or belt. As such you will always have it around when you need it most.
