The Silva Scout 2XT uses Silva Intelligent Light which is a light beam technology that optimises the light pattern; giving less head movements, better control and improved balance by combining long reach spot light and close flood light. Its battery level indicator informs of remaining charge level even when the headlamp is turned off, and its night vision red light mode preserves night vision. This headlamp has a comfortable fit with its low weight of 84g, and wide, anti-slip headband. The Scout 2XT can produce a powerful maximum output of 350 lumens, to a beam distance of 65 metres, and is powered by 3AAA batteries (which are easily accessible), providing a runtime of up to 70 hours in low mode. The large on/off button makes the headlamp easy to operate, even when wearing gloves.
