PREPARATION FOR USE (SEASONING)
To prepare your cast iron pan for use, heat your kitchen oven. While the oven is warming, remove the handle and thoroughly wash your cast iron pan inside and out with hot soapy water. Dry your cast iron pan and place it inside your oven. Heat the cast iron pan until it is almost too hot to handle. Remove the cast iron pan from your oven and place some cooking oil inside and wipe it around inside and out with a paper towel. Ensure you cover the entire pan with a coating of oil to help prevent rust. Replave the handle and your cast iron pan is now ready for use.
AFTER USE.
Try to clean your cast iron pan by wiping with a cloth. If it needs to be washed the cast iron pan will need to be re – seasoned as instructed above.
